Pakistani pop singer Aima Baig has recently faced controversy after jokingly suggesting a metaphorical marriage between fellow stars Maya Ali and Wahaj Ali, due to their intense on-screen chemistry in their upcoming drama serial Sunn Mere Dil. Baig’s comment, made in response to intimate photos of Maya and Wahaj dressed in matching white outfits with emotional expressions, read: “Probably should get married, metaphorically lol.”

This remark sparked frustration among fans, prompting Aima Baig to address the situation on Instagram. She clarified her comment with a detailed note, explaining, “It was a joke everybody because they were perfect with each other. If you compare me with Tahir Shah because our chemistry is so amazing. I will take that as a compliment tbh. Why do you hate everything so much? I don’t understand we all are human and joking is something that should be digest at least.”

Wahaj Ali is currently married with a daughter, while Maya Ali is single. Despite fan speculation about their relationship, the two actors will star together in Sunn Mere Dil, written by Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar and directed by Haseeb Hassan. The drama, produced by Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi under 7th Sky Entertainment Productions, has released its first teaser, featuring Maya as Sadaf and Wahaj as Bilal Abdullah.
