During his live performance in Manchester, Punjabi rapper and singer Diljit Dosanjh made headlines by introducing his family on stage for the first time. Videos from the concert that showed the singer and his family members interacting with heartfelt emotion quickly went viral on social media, leaving fans in tears.

Diljit, who is renowned for avoiding publicizing his family because of security concerns, broke his long silence to introduce his sister and mother to the crowd. Dosanjh donned a black Pathani suit, matching turban, and traditional phulkari doshala.

Dressed in a simple white suit, his mother became emotional as he introduced her, saying, “By the way, she is my mother.” The crowd erupted in cheers, and the touching moment brought his mother to tears as he sang, “Dil tenu de ditta main taan soneya, Jaan tere kadma ch rakhi hoyi ae.”

He also introduced his sister, proudly saying, “She is my sister, aj meri family bhi aayi hui hai,” as he bowed before her too. His sister beamed with happiness, overwhelmed by seeing her brother perform live.

Fans all across the world were moved by the unexpected appearance of Diljit’s family’s, which turned the concert into a memorable occasion.
