Fans of Ranbir Kapoor were ecstatic to learn about his upcoming major project as he celebrates his 42nd birthday. The 25-year-old Bollywood actor is reportedly in negotiations to play the protagonist in the awaited Dhoom 4. The reboot of the popular franchise is being developed by Yash Raj Films under Aditya Chopra’s guidance.

A source revealed, “Ranbir has always been interested in joining ‘Dhoom 4’ after hearing the basic concept, and now it’s confirmed that he will lead the franchise. Adi Chopra believes Ranbir is the perfect choice to carry forward the ‘Dhoom’ legacy.”

In contrast to earlier Dhoom movies, Uday Chopra and Abhishek Bachchan will not be making a comeback. Rather, two younger actors will play the police duo in the movie. According to the report, Dhoom 4 will push the bar for Indian cinema by becoming not just the biggest movie in the series but also a worldwide tentpole.

In order to coincide with Ranbir’s 25th film milestone, Dhoom 4 filming is anticipated to start in late 2025 or early 2026.

Following his role in Animal, Ranbir has a number of high-profile projects in the works, including Ramayana by Nitesh Tiwari and Love & War, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and starring Vicky Kaushal and Alia Bhatt.
