In the comments on Elvira’s post, Grande expressed her disappointment, saying, “I’m so disheartened to see this.” She added that she couldn’t recall meeting Elvira because she had an anxiety attack and left the event early.

“This was around 7 years ago and at the time I was really not great with being in public crowds or loud places,” the 31-year-old singer explained. She continued, “But if I’m misremembering this moment, I sincerely apologize for offending you so.”

Grande also thanked Elvira for being kind to her mother, noting, “She told me how lovely you were.” She concluded her message with, “You’ll always be our queen of Halloween!” This exchange highlights the misunderstandings that can occur in public interactions and Grande’s effort to clear the air.
