The inaugural Tasveer Film Market recently showcased exciting new projects featuring Pakistani star Fawad Khan, according to Variety. The event, held in Seattle, united filmmakers and talent from South Asia and beyond. Fawad is set to star in two high-profile productions: Behind the Scenes, a newsroom thriller, and The Prisoner, a gripping crime drama series.

Behind the Scenes combines Fawad’s star power with a talented production team, including Bilal Sami and Raza Namazi. This dark comedy will explore the conflict between truth and sensationalism in the media, with Mohammed Ali Naqvi as executive producer. The project is already creating buzz, thanks to contributions from notable directors like Mehreen Jabbar and Sarmad Khoosat.

In The Prisoner, based on Omar Shahid’s bestseller, Fawad plays a cop in 1990s Karachi, facing off against a political party linked to organized crime. The series highlights a trend for realistic storytelling that resonates with viewers.

Additionally, Fawad is making his Bollywood return alongside Vaani Kapoor in the romantic comedy Abir Gulaal, with filming underway in London. Fawad, known for hits like Khoobsurat and Kapoor & Sons, continues to capture audiences both in Pakistan and India.
