India and Pakistan have a long history of mutual respect amongst their artists, despite the countries’ political tensions. Indian actors Bobby Deol and Ananya Pandey complimented Pakistani actors Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan at the IIFA Awards in Abu Dhabi.

Indian singer Sunidhi Chauhan recently reflected on her collaborations with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, saying that “artists on both sides of the border have a similar thinking and approach to art.” This is an example of another cross-border expression of appreciation.

At a different event, Diljit Dosanjh, a well-known singer from Punjab, garnered media attention by promoting love and harmony between Pakistan and India while performing in Manchester.
