Yo Yo Honey Singh, an Indian rapper and musician from Punjab, has stated that he would like to perform in Pakistan in order to please his fans on the other side of the border. “Pray that I get to perform in Pakistan soon,” Singh said in a widely shared video while addressing his Pakistani fan base during a conversation with press at the 2024 IIFA Awards in Abu Dhabi.

Singh also expressed admiration for several renowned Pakistani artists. “I love Mehdi Hassan, Ghulam Ali, Ali Azmat, Atif Aslam, Sanam Marvi, and many others,” he said. The rapper acknowledged the large number of Pakistani fans who attend his concerts in Dubai, where he has been performing for over a decade. However, he recognized the eagerness of fans in Pakistan, adding, “Fans in Pakistan who cannot travel to Dubai are eager to see me perform in their country.”

“I am heading to the UK for the first time next year, and if time allows, I would love to come to Pakistan to perform,” Singh revealed, confirming his upcoming tour schedule.

Here’s what he shared:

A few weeks ago, Singh spoke about his spiritual journey and how exploring Islamic teachings through Sufi scholars in Mohali in 2007 deepened his faith. In 2012, he talked about how he lost his way after becoming famous, but in 2018, after getting well, he emphasized how he had come to believe in God again.
