Arjun Kapoor has impressed audiences since his debut in Ishaqzaade in 2012, appearing in many successful films. However, some of his recent projects haven’t performed well at the box office. Despite this, Rohit Shetty has cast him as the villain in the upcoming action film Singham Again.

When asked why Shetty chose Kapoor, filmmaker Milap Zaveri explained that Shetty recognized the actor’s talent and passion. Milap, who wrote dialogues for Singham Again, shared with Siddharth Kannan that Shetty is a visionary who supports people regardless of their current career status.

He said, “He saw talent and passion in Arjun Kapoor for Singham Again. He believed that Arjun Kapoor just needed the right opportunity, and that’s his genius. Once the film releases, we will see how right Rohit was.”

Milap also mentioned how Shetty helped him during a difficult time in his career after Satyameva Jayate 2. He praised Shetty, saying, “He is one of India’s biggest directors and genuinely a nice person. When he walks on set, the whole crew respects him.”

Singham Again is a direct sequel to Singham Returns (2014) and is the fifth film in Shetty’s franchise. Alongside Arjun, the movie features stars like Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, and more. Produced by Rohit, Ajay, and Jyoti Deshpande, Singham Again is set to release on November 1, 2024, during Diwali.
