Beyoncé has made history with a record-breaking achievement in this year’s Grammy nominations. The Recording Academy confirmed on Friday that the superstar is now the most-nominated artist in Grammy history with a staggering 99 nominations. For the 2025 ceremony, her country-inspired album Cowboy Carter secured 11 nominations across multiple categories.

This marks several first-time nominations for Beyoncé in the country music genre, including Best Country Album, Best Country Solo Performance for “16 Carriages,” and Best Country Song for “Texas Hold ’Em.” She also earned nominations for Best Americana Performance and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Levi’s Jeans” with Post Malone.

Beyoncé’s record-breaking success comes after a notable statement from her husband, JAY-Z, at last year’s Grammys, where he called out the Academy for overlooking his wife in the Album of the Year category. “I don’t want to embarrass this young lady, but she has more Grammys than everyone and never won Album of the Year,” he said, adding, “The most Grammys, never won Album of the Year. That doesn’t work.”

Despite multiple nominations, Beyoncé has yet to win Album of the Year, having lost to Harry Styles in 2023 and others in previous years.
