Bollywood actress Helena Luke, best known for her role alongside Amitabh Bachchan in the 1985 film Mard, has tragically passed away in the United States. The sad news was shared on social media by her close friend, dancer and actress Kalpana Iyer. The cause of her death has not been disclosed.

Helena, who was married to Mithun Chakraborty for a brief four months, reflected on their relationship in a candid interview with Stardust Magazine. She described the marriage as a “hazy dream” and expressed regret about it, stating, “I wished the marriage had never happened.” Helena revealed that Mithun had convinced her that “he was the one” for her, a notion she later came to regret.

Despite speculation about a potential reconciliation, she firmly rejected the idea, asserting that she wouldn’t return to him “even if he were the richest man.” Helena chose not to pursue alimony, preferring to leave the tumultuous chapter of her life behind.

In her final social media post, Helena shared her emotional state with her followers, writing, “Feeling weird. Mixed emotions and no clue why, discombobulated.” Her untimely passing leaves a poignant reminder of her unique journey in the film industry and the complexities of her personal life. Fans and friends alike will remember her for her talent and the impact she had on Bollywood.
