Andrew Garfield’s performances over the years have highlighted his perseverance, but the actor continues to work hard to move beyond his role in ” Spider-Man”. He discussed this during the Marrakech Film Festival in Morocco, according to “Variety”.

According to the outlet, Garfield revealed that he “worked very hard to have fewer people ask questions about Spider-Man.” He admitted that he is still working on it, describing the process as imperfect. He shared these thoughts when asked about his role in the superhero film.

Despite this, Garfield expressed gratitude for that time, as it “allowed” him an easier opportunity to work with individuals like Martin Scorsese right after. While discussing their film “Silence”, he noted that Scorsese likely managed to bring his passion project to life by casting someone who had played Spider-Man in the lead role to portray a Jesuit priest in 1600s Japan. He added that the fact the film came together with the help of Spider-Man was a “beautiful thing.”

Luca Guadagnino, also present at the festival, shared his fascination with Spider-Man. The filmmaker recalled, “I remember when Sam Raimi directed the first one. I was 28 or 29, and I had these dreams because I’m kind of a megalomaniac. I wished I had been asked to direct one. So, I wish I had directed you in Spider-Man.”

For those who aren’t aware, Garfield and Guadagnino have teamed up for the upcoming film “After The Hunt”, which also stars Julia Roberts. The latest film festival in Morocco has been buzzing for several reasons, one of which was the new look of *Euphoria* star Jacob Elordi.
