Pakistani singer and actress Hadiqa Kiani has earned a spot on the BBC’s prestigious list of the 100 most influential women, highlighting her impact as both a musical icon and a humanitarian.

Her inclusion in the list is a testament to her influence, not just in the music industry but also in her efforts to advocate for social causes on a global scale.

Hadiqa, who rose to fame in the 1990s with her pop music, is celebrated for her versatile voice and extensive contributions to both music and society.

She is also a passionate advocate for humanitarian causes, notably serving as a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). Through this role, she works to promote global change and social progress.

In response to the 2022 floods in Pakistan, Hadiqa launched the Wasil-e-Raah project, which provides aid to the flood-affected regions of Balochistan and south Punjab.

She has urged the public to help rebuild lives, saying, “We must come together to help those in need.” Last year, Hadiqa’s efforts led to the construction of 370 homes, offering displaced families essential facilities under her initiative.
