Katie Holmes, 45, has fiercely defended her daughter, Suri Cruise, following a misleading report about the 18-year-old’s alleged inheritance.

Holmes took to social media on Sunday to denounce a headline from Daily Mail, which claimed, “Suri Cruise the millionaire! Tom Cruise’s trust fund has ‘kicked in’ and mom Katie Holmes has one for her too.” Holmes refuted the story, calling it “Completely false,” and captioned the post with “Enough.”

The post sparked a conversation in the comments section, where one user expressed a perspective on privilege, saying, “Gosh the hardships you guys face. Hey are you worried if you can pay your rent AND eat this month? No? Yea me either, I wish these were my problems.”

Despite acknowledging Holmes’ hard work and parenting, the commenter emphasized the global struggles many mothers face.

Holmes responded thoughtfully, writing, “I don’t disagree. But in the world today, I don’t want a target on my child’s back. It’s dangerous.”

She further emphasized her commitment to protecting Suri, whom she shares with ex-husband Tom Cruise. Holmes, who has always kept her daughter out of the public eye, continues to prioritize her safety and privacy.
