Lollywood superstar Mahira Khan shared her deep admiration for Karachi, highlighting the city’s spirit of acceptance and inclusivity during the Aalami Urdu Conference in Karachi.

The Raees actress called Karachi the most tolerant city in Pakistan, emphasizing its diverse nature.

In her address, Mahira praised the city’s ability to embrace people from all backgrounds, saying, “Karachi doesn’t judge where a person comes from.” She described Karachi as a melting pot of diversity, a quality she believes sets it apart from other cities in Pakistan. Reflecting on her upbringing in the city, Mahira, who grew up surrounded by friends from Hindu, Agha Khani, and Bohra communities, shared that diversity was simply a normal part of her life.

Mahira compared Karachi to other cosmopolitan port cities, explaining that its location as a port city naturally fosters inclusivity. She also noted that people from other cities are often amazed by Karachi’s diversity, which she believes is the heart of the city.

However, Mahira also pointed out some downsides, including the city’s hot climate. “Only if Karachi had all four seasons in full bloom,” she said. Additionally, she observed, “People don’t take care of Karachi as much as the city takes care of its people.” Despite these challenges, Mahira’s love for Karachi remains evident.
