Robert Pattinson, best known for his portrayal of Batman, has hinted that he might retire from acting after completing the upcoming Batman trilogy.

In an interview with The New York Times Magazine, the actor discussed his future in the industry, saying, “I could genuinely be retiring by the end of them. Not in a million years did I think I’d still be doing this when I got my first job. I can’t believe this is still going.”

Pattinson’s casting as the iconic superhero initially sparked controversy, with fans uncertain about his suitability for the role. However, his performance in The Batman (2022) won over critics, setting the stage for a planned trilogy under director Matt Reeves, with the sequel expected in 2026.

Pattinson also spoke about the discipline required in his profession, stating, “The main thing is constantly remembering what your job is. It’s a discipline to not use your energy on anything other than that.”

Having been acting for over a decade, Pattinson first gained fame at 17 with Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005) and later became a household name as Edward Cullen in the Twilight series. He will next star in Bong Joon-ho’s Mickey 17, a sci-fi film set for release in 2025.
