Robert Pattinson, known for his role in Twilight, has once again shared a bizarre, fabricated story about his childhood.

Reflecting on an old 2011 interview, the actor confessed to feeling like he was “possessed” while recounting a made-up tale about witnessing a clown die in a car explosion as a child.

As The New York Times noted, “There was absolutely no hesitation at all [in his voice]” when he admitted the story, revealing a mix of pride and fear. He added, “I’m like, ‘What on earth? Are you possessed?'”

Pattinson, now 38, has frequently told fictional stories over the years. He once claimed to have shaken off a stalker by taking her out for dinner and boring her with his personal problems.

He also mentioned a deleted Twilight scene that allegedly depicted intense interest and pleasure—another story that turned out to be untrue. Furthermore, Pattinson fabricated a tale about working as a women’s hand model.

When asked why he shares such falsehoods, Pattinson explained, “The only thing people would ever ask me about was being famous. You go into, like a fugue state.”

On the professional front, the actor is set to star in Christopher Nolan’s upcoming project, continuing his career with another major role.
