Fans of the globally acclaimed Netflix series Squid Game have a reason to celebrate—Season 3 is officially on its way! On January 2, 2025, Netflix dropped the first teaser for the upcoming season, giving fans a glimpse of what’s to come and introducing a brand-new character.

A new giant robot named Chul-su is set to make its debut, adding another layer of intrigue and suspense to the show. Netflix shared the teaser on Instagram with the caption: “Everyone say hi to Chul-su! Season 3 coming in 2025 #SquidGame2 #SquidGame.”

Hwang Dong-hyuk, the director, writer, and executive producer of Squid Game, provided some tantalizing insights during an interview with Variety. “If you watch that clip, it’s going to give you a slight hint as to where Season 3 might take you,” he teased. “The fierce clash between their two worlds will continue into the series finale with Season 3, which will be brought to you next year.”

Fans can also look forward to the return of the infamous VIPs. Hwang confirmed their inclusion, saying, “You will get to see the VIPs in the third season. They’re coming. Their chopper is flying over the island now.”

Squid Game Season 3 is slated for release in 2025, and excitement is already reaching a fever pitch.
