New York: Mingus Lucien Reedus, the 25-year-old son of actor Norman Reedus and former supermodel Helena Christensen, has been arrested on charges related to domestic violence.

According to reports, the incident occurred inside the couple’s apartment in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood.

Police allege that Reedus physically assaulted his 33-year-old girlfriend, punching and choking her before throwing her to the ground. The victim reportedly sustained serious injuries that required hospitalization.

Authorities have charged Reedus with obstruction of breathing and third-degree assault, along with additional counts of reckless injury and harassment.

The incident took place early Saturday morning. Notably, Reedus himself placed the initial 911 call, claiming that a woman was attempting suicide. However, when officers arrived on the scene, the alleged victim told police that she had been attacked by Reedus.

This isn’t Reedus’s first encounter with the law. In 2021, he was arrested for allegedly punching a woman during an altercation and later accepted a plea deal, resulting in a reduced charge of disorderly conduct.

Neither Norman Reedus nor Helena Christensen has commented publicly on the latest allegations. Mingus, who has worked as a model and more recently released music on streaming platforms like Spotify, is once again in the public eye this time for deeply troubling reasons.
