Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut once again exposed the “Media Mafia” of the film industry by sharing her own experience of assault by director Mahesh Bhatt.

While giving an interview to an Indian media outlet, the Queen actress opened up about being launched by Mahesh Bhatt in his movie Gangster. She mentioned,

“Effectively, I’m grateful, however, that doesn’t give them the correct to name me mad and psychotic and throw chappals at me. Mahesh Bhatt threw a chappal at me.”

Kangana was even asked for another film “Dhoka”, which she refused to do as the actress did not believe in the script.

“Even at 18, I had this much common sense. I said, ‘If you are tortured, there is a lot you can do. You can join the army or police. Why do you have to become a suicide bomber?’ I said no to that film.”

The Tanu weds Manu actress went on to reveal Mahesh Bhatt by telling his reaction on her refusal,

“He was literally about to come on to me like he is going to beat me or something. His daughter held him back and said, ‘Papa, don’t.’ I escaped somehow.”

She concluded by saying that the Media Mafia could not accept refusal for their films,

“Why can’t I say no if I want to? These people are still in the hangover of the mafias, that ‘bhai ko mana nahi kar sakte’ otherwise you will be shot dead. That needs to end in this film industry.”
