Popular Amazon series Mirzapur 2 faces backlash from Mirzapur’s ministers over ‘spreading ethnic disharmony’.

The Apna Dal MP from Uttar Pradesh’s Mirzapur district has demanded a ban on the popular series.

The MP has claimed that the series was allegedly defaming the image of the city by portraying it as a “violent” region.

She told the reporters that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Mirzapur “is a ‘center of harmony’ and the matter must be investigated and strict action taken against those responsible for sullying its image”.

‘Mirzapur 2’ is a sequel of the renowned series Mirzapur that involves stories of conflicts on families, politics, and elections.
