India’s Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has arrested Indian comedian Bharti Singh on charges of using illicit drugs.

According to Indian media reports, the NCB is investigating drug use in Bollywood and Bharti Singh and her husband were also questioned in this regard.

The NCB says it found 86.5 grams of hashish when officers raided Bharti Singh’s Mumbai home. During the interrogation, Bharti and her husband Harsh Limbachiyaa confessed to using cannabis.

According to the NCB, Bharti Singh has been arrested immediately while her husband Harsh is undergoing a medical check-up.

It may be recalled that during the investigation into the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, the secret of large-scale use of illicit drugs in the film industry was revealed, which is under investigation.

Apart from being a comedian, Bharti Singh has also hosted several reality shows. She and her husband Harsh are currently co-hosting a reality show called ‘Dance India Dance’.

Earlier, B-Town stars Deepika, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, and Rakul Preet Singh had been named in the drugs nexus case.

Sara, Shraddha, and Rakul were summoned by the NBC after Rhea Chakraborty reportedly mentioned them during an interrogation.
