Shah Rukh Khan was once threatened with a gun by Gauri Khan’s brother. In 1991, the couple tied the wedding.

Vikrant Khan, the brother of Shah Rukh Khan’s wife Gauri Khan, reportedly threatened him with a gun. The couple had to overcome obstacles when it came to persuading her family to approve of their marriage.

In 1991, the actor and Gauri Khan married in a traditional Hindu wedding ceremony. They have three children: Aryan and Abram, males, and Suhana, daughter. The pair is celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary this year.

Anupama Chopra wrote about Khan’s love story with Gauri in her book King of Bollywood: Shah Rukh Khan and the Seductive World of Indian Cinema.

According to the book, Gauri’s father, Ramesh Chibba, objected to Shah Rukh’s acting career, and her mother, Savita, sought the help of an astrologer to split them up.

Gauri’s brother Vikrant had then threatened Shah Rukh. An excerpt from the book read, “Vikrant had a reputation of being a goonda (thug). He threatened Shah Rukh with a gun, but the posturing didn’t scare his sister’s suitor.”
