Alia Bhatt wished her sister Shaheen Bhatt a happy birthday on her birthday. She wrote a note and sent it along with a photo of the two of them together.

The monochrome photo was taken during Anushka Ranjan and Aditya Seal’s recent wedding in Mumbai. Alia was present at Shaheen’s wedding and can be seen kissing her on the head.

Alia wrote, “Happy birthday my sweetie. My happy place. My safe place. My mother. My best friend. My child. I don’t think there’s a word in the dictionary to aptly express the gratitude I feel for your existence in my life. I don’t know a world or a life without your love! I wish you all the love and joy in the world and when the weathers not great I’ll be there holding up an umbrella! I love you my melon .”

Shaheen is a writer who has published I’ve Never Been (Un)Happier, a book about mental health. She is Mahesh Bhatt’s older daughter from his second marriage to actor Soni Razdan. She avoids movies but frequently joins Alia for parties or trips.
