Today marks the 18th anniversary of the film, which starred Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta, and Saif Ali Khan. It is one of Shah Rukh Khan’s best films, directed by Nikkhil Advani. Producer Karan Johar famously described it as “a love of a lifetime in a heartbeat,” and we wholeheartedly agree.

Karan experienced a personal hardship after the success of Kal Ho Naa Ho when his director father, Yash Johar, died a few months later. Kareena Kapoor was first offered the role of Preity, which she declined.
