Imtiaz Ali rocked a college’s literature festival

At the recently held interactive session of the college’s literature festival, Ambrosia 2022. Sadda Haq Aithe Rakh, from the film Rockstar (2011), filled the audience at Hindu College with a thunderous wave of applause. That’s how a rapt audience greeted director-writer Imtiaz Ali, the man behind the song’s creation.

Students of the college were energized by their super senior’s talk on life from the time when he was living on campus. And how it shows in his cinematic work even today. As they queued up to listen to him with rapt attention. After the lit chat, most of the young brigade rushed over to Ali and surrounded him from all sides. Requesting photographs and signatures. Ali gladly agreed to everyone. However some of the lucky ones even got a hug and an opportunity to meet him.

Members of Ibtida, the college’s dramatics club, which Ali created during his college days, also greeted Ali when he returned to his alma mater.
