Akshay Kumar is an Indian-born, naturalized Canadian actor and film producer who works in Hindi cinema.

The success or failure of a film is mostly determined by two factors: conflict and the audience’s reaction. Most films that don’t succeed do so because of a lack of emotional resonance or a lack of tension, or even both. These are the two things that compel the viewer to cheer for the hero. A relatable conflict leading to the correct emotions is what everyone in the business is talking about with regard to Akshay Kumar’s next film Raksha Bandhan.

“It’s the return of Akshay Kumar to the genre that got him a lot of success from 2016 to 2019. It’s a small-town story of how a brother stands by his sisters under all circumstances with a parallel romantic track with Bhumi Pednekar,” Aanand L Rai has captured the small town feel with a lot of underdog humour, according to a source. In addition to the metros, the issue is palatable to audiences in Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets because the feelings are claimed to be entrenched in Indian customs.
