According to a report from 2020, John Abraham had purchased the rights to the Hindi version of the Malayalam movie Ayyappanum Koshiyum. John’s production company JA Entertainment will oversee the Hindi remake’s production. The movie was delayed because of unanticipated events. Now that a new team appears to be assembling the project. Moreover, Abraham is reportedly bringing Anurag Kashyap on board for the same.

The actor reportedly thought that Jagan Shakti’s approach to the storyline didn’t justify the Malayalam movie’s greatness. Finally, a month before the movie was scheduled to start production in January 2022, the script was written. The actor allegedly then sought Anurag Kashyap to rewrite the script. Adding a desi flavour with a business slant. The director allegedly accepted the project and is currently writing the script. After Abraham completes Tehran, it is intended to launch the project by October of this year.

The action thriller, which was written and directed by Sachy and produced by Ranjith and P. M. Sasidharan under the banner of Gold Coin Motion Picture Company, was released in February 2020.
