Chitrangda Singh recalled bizarre action of a fan that scared her
Chitrangda Singh, who produced Soorma, a film based on the actual tale of Sandeep Singh. Who is a former captain of the Indian hockey team. And starring Diljit Dosanjh and Taapsee Paanu, has now acquired the rights to another moving account of Subedar Yogender Yadav’s extraordinary bravery.
For those who are unaware, Subedar Yogendra Yadav participated in the Kargil War. And, at the age of 19, is currently the youngest person to ever win the Param Vir Chakra. He continues to serve in the Indian army and is one of only three living recipients of the Param Vir Chakra in the history of the nation.
Speaking about acquiring the rights to develop a film based on Yadav, Chitrangda adds, “I’m very excited to tell stories of real heroes that are many times forgotten even though they still live amongst us. We need to glorify their journey. This will be another attempt to do what I tried with Soorma”.
The rights to the movie are with CSfilms co-owned by Deepak Singh.
