The Election Commission of India recognised Pankaj Tripathi as the National Icon of India for his work with ECL to encourage young people to use their right to vote.

The actor discussed his award, saying, “Thank goodness I can help out in some small manner. We have a duty to the community, and I intend to do what I can to meet that obligation.”

In 2004, Pankaj Tripathi had a cameo in the Bollywood film Run. He has since acted in a number of films and television shows, and his reputation for both acting skill and humility has grown. His portrayal as Akhandanand Tripathi aka Kaleen Bhaiya in the hit Amazon Prime Video crime thriller Mirzapur is his most well-known.
