Ashwini, who is married to Puneeth Rajkumar, made an emotional plea to the people of Karnataka. On a long note, she asked people to watch Gandhada Gudi, the dream project of Puneeth, whose fans call him “Appu.” In a note, she said,  “It was Appu’s wish that all Kannadigas, especially the children should watch this movie,”
“Let us preserve our forest for our children and show them the beauty of Karnataka,”  she wrote. Gandhada Gudi, which is also called GG, came out on October 28, 2022. It was directed by Amoghavarsha. In the documentary, he is shown as a traveler and adventurer who likes to explore Karnataka’s rich biodiversity.

Ashwini wrote “Namaste @narendramodi. Today is an emotional day for us as we are releasing the trailer of #GandhadaGudi, a project close to Appu’s heart. Appu always cherished the interactions with you and would have loved to share with you in person.”

During the 67th Kannada Rajyotsava, Puneeth Rajkumar was recently given the “Karnataka Ratna” award after his death. At the event, Rajinikanth and Jr. NTR were also there. Puneeth Rajkumar died on October 29, 2021, when he was 46 years old.
