Uunchai, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani, and Anupam Kher, grew by over 85% on its second Saturday. Second Saturday was the film’s third highest ticket day, and Sunday is expected to do even better for another strong weekend.

Uunchai made Rs. 2.20 cr nett on its second Saturday and has made Rs. 19.60 cr nett overall. Sunday’s numbers should top Rs. 22 cr. If the film maintains its first-week numbers, it will cross Rs. 30 cr nett. Uunchai plays at 50 more centres in its second weekend than in its first, but fewer during the week. Drishyam 2 is another strong competitor after Black Panther: Wakanda Forever in its first week. Bhediya and An Action Hero will be two more strong Hindi film competitors in the coming weeks. Uunchai will have done its business by then and won’t need many films.

Rajshri Productions is expecting a worldwide theatrical share of Rs. 20 cr, and with Rs. 70 cr from non-theatrical sources, they are already profitable.

Uunchai’s daily nett collection:

Week 1: 16.20 cr nett
Total = Rs. 19.60 cr nett (2nd Friday + 2nd Saturday)
