Akshay Kumar will be confronting the issue of sex education in his upcoming production. The actor revealed that he is now working on a feature film about sex education that is in production. Akshay participated in an In-Conversation panel on Saturday at the Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah, which is taking place from December 1–10.

Several well-known Indian celebrities, including the actor, have stopped in Jeddah to take part in the second Red Sea International Film Festival. While Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Kajol, Shah Rukh Khan, and Priyanka Chopra have already made appearances, Ranbir Kapoor and Hrithik Roshan are scheduled to visit later this week for their own In-Conversation panels.

Speaking to moderator Kaleem Aftab, Akshay revealed in a news report, “It’s a very important subject. In a lot of places, it is not there. We have all kinds of subjects we learn in school and sex education is one topic I would like all the schools in the world to have. It’s going to take time to release, it’s going to be April [or] May.” He also added, “It’s one of the best films I’ve ever made.”

With Toilet: Ek Prem Katha (2017), which addressed the need for toilets in small towns and villages, and Padman (2018), which focused on menstruation and the accessibility of sanitary goods, Akshay has already done back-to-back social message movies.

In addition to the upcoming movies Selfiee, OMG 2 – Oh My God! 2, the Hindi version of the Tamil film Soorarai Pottru (2020), and the unnamed biopic of Jaswant Singh Gill, Akshay was recently featured in a cameo in the Ayushmann Khurrana-starring movie An Action Hero.
