Anupam Kher has shared a slew of throwback photos with Anil Kapoor in order to wish him a happy 66th birthday on Saturday. Anupam and Anil have collaborated on numerous critically acclaimed and commercially successful films.

The first throwback photo shows Anupam and Anil holding their Filmfare Awards while posing with their respective wives, Kirron Kher and Sunita Kapoor. Two other photos show Anil and Anupam on the sets of various films. The photographs also depict the two actors at various events.

Posting the pictures, Anupam wrote, “Happy Birthday my dearest dearest @anilskapoor! I have no idea when we became friends! But I am thankful that we did! From our first award together, to being funny, stubborn, compassionate, emotional, laid back, to using cuss words for the instant communication!”

He added, “We do it effortlessly! Because that is what friendship is all about. Have a blessed day Mr. Kapoor! Love and prayers always! #Friends #Friendship #Saaransh #Mashaalll.”

His post was inundated with love and birthday greetings. One of the fans commented, “Surprisingly, neither has aged from the first to the last image! Both have the same amount of hair on their heads #respect.” “We grew up watching those amazing movies of you both together and feel lucky experiencing that Khel, Lamhe Tezaab, and many more others.. my god kya solid performances the (how solid the performances were),” said another.

Anupam and Anil have collaborated on numerous films, including Ram Lakhan, Beta, Tezaab, Saaransh, Ladla, Lamhe, Jamai Raja, and Parinda. They also contributed to the Indian adaptation of the television series 24.

Anil was most recently seen with Neetu Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, and Kiara Advani in the family drama JugJugg Jeeyo. He has a few interesting projects lined up for the future. He is currently working on Animal, a film starring Ranbir Kapoor. Sandeep Reddy Vanga directs the film, which also stars Rashmika Mandanna. The film, which also stars Bobby Deol, is billed as a crime drama and is set to be released on August 11 of next year. Anil will also appear in Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone’s Fighter, directed by Siddharth Anand.

Anupam was most recently seen in Uunchai and The Kashmir Files, and he has a slew of other projects in the works, including Shiv Shastri Balboa and Kuch Khattaa Ho Jaay. He also has Kangana Ranaut’s film Emergency, in which he plays political leader Jay Prakash Narayan.
