Salman Khan, who has become known in recent years for his work on original films such as Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Bharat, Sultan Tubelight, and Prem Rattan Dhan Payo, has decided to do a remake of a South Indian film for his most recent project. Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan . The movie is a remake of the Tamil hit Veeram, which was released in 2014. In that film, Ajith Kumar portrayed the role of the eldest brother in a rural family in which the siblings come to the consensus that they will not marry in order to preserve their fraternal bond.

Khan was ecstatic about the idea of remaking Veeram when it was pitched to him by his friend and fellow producer Sajid Nadiadwala. The connection that he had shared with his brothers was brought to his mind by Veeram. However, Sajid chose to withdraw from the collaboration, and Salman made the decision to produce the film on his own.
