Actress Kangana Ranaut has provided some information regarding her next film Emergency. On Saturday, Kangana shared a picture from the movie’s set that also included the choreographer Kruti M on her Instagram Stories. She referred to the movie emergency as “a musical drama” and listed its five tracks. Additionally, Kangana said that she “may have the longest song ever above 10 mins.”

Kangana captioned the post, “Choreographer on set today… director can take it easy ha ha… by the way we have five songs on Emergency; it’s a musical drama (performing arts emoji). I don’t know why people don’t expect songs in Emergency… I love music, I might just have the longest song ever above 10 minutes… For interval block… And great music @gvprakash.”

In response to the tweet, musician GV Prakash Kumar shared it on Instagram Stories. He wrote, “Thanks a lot @kanganaranaut ji… waiting for this amazing film to unveil soon.”

Kangana has finished filming the Assam portion of her next historical drama Emergency. In November of last year, she posted a series of images on Instagram along with the caption, “Some BTS stills from Emergency Assam schedule …” Emergency also marks her first solo directorial film.

Ranaut portrays the late politician Indira Gandhi in the title character of the movie, which is based on her life. In 1975, the country’s Emergency had been established by the former prime minister.

Emergency began filming in June of last year. Kangana is the film’s producer, director, and writer. Along with Kangana, the movie also stars Anupam Kher as revolutionary leader J P Narayan, Shreyas Talpade as former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Milind Soman as Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, Vishak Nair as Sanjay Gandhi, the son of Indira, and Mahima Chaudhry as author and cultural activist Pupul Jayakar.

The movie Emergency claims to be the account of a turning point in Indian politics. “Emergency reflects one of the most important periods in Indian political history which changed the way we view power and that’s why I decided to tell this story,” Kangana had earlier said in a statement. She had said that the power dynamics at play at the moment fascinated her.

In addition, Kangana has revealed that she would appear in Chandramukhi 2, the Tamil film sequel to Rajinikanth’s 2005 original. Aside from that, she will next be seen in Tejas, where she will play a pilot with the Indian Air Force. The movie has yet to have its official release date announced. She will appear in the biopic of renowned theatre performer Noti Binodini. Pradeep Sarkar will serve as the film’s director.
