Since its release, the John Abraham, Deepika Padukone, and Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Pathaan has dominated the box office and broken records for box office revenue. Team Pathaan made the decision to come together to discuss the historic success the movie had at the box office while it was riding this wave of triumph. At the press conference held in Mumbai today were Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, and director Siddharth Anand. Shah Rukh Khan engaged the media and shared his happiness about Pathaan’s success.

The last time fans saw Shah Rukh Khan on the big screen was in the 2018 movie Zero. Shah Rukh Khan returns to the big screen with Pathaan, his first film in four years. Shah Rukh revealed during the occasion that he actually took a 2 year break and that the Pathaan team worked on the film for the remaining 2 years.

He claimed that the phase had both good and bad aspects. During the break, he claimed, he was able to spend time with his family and see Suhana, AbRam, and Aryan grow up. He stated, “But the time I got to spend with my family I got to see them grow. Plus my last film hadn’t worked, so I had already thought of other professions. I thought I would start a restaurant (laughs).”

When John Abraham was cast in the movie, according to Shah Rukh Khan, he was immediately interested in working with him. He added that he had forgotten the previous four years because of Pathaan’s recent success. Shah Rukh said “The good part was when I heard that John is doing the film, I really wanted to work with him. Me and Sid convinced him, and thank you John for taking up the film. It’s nice to be back. I am never in a rush to finish a film, because I have a genuine desire to spread love among people and when that doesn’t happen I am the most affected by that. I am grateful to Adi (Aditya Chopra), Sid and everyone for this film, it has done really well. I have forgotten the last four years because of the last 4 days,”.
