During the filming of Jawan, Vijay Sethupathi recalls how Shah Rukh Khan went above and beyond to make him comfortable. He said the following.

Shah Rukh Khan has been lauded by actor Vijay Sethupathi and described as a gentleman. Vijay Sethupathi added in a recent interview that despite being anxious on the first day, Shah Rukh helped him feel “extremely comfortable.” He also remembered how Shah Rukh constantly pushed him to talk about sequences with him.

Atlee’s event movie Jawan is marketed as having intense action scenes. Red Chillies Entertainment, Shah Rukh’s production firm, is responsible for its production. On June 2, the movie will open in theatres around the world in five languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.

Vijay said, “He was very sweet. It was a very good experience. I was a bit nervous on the first day, because he is a very big artiste, but he made me very comfortable. He didn’t have a scene on that day, but he was there to make me feel comfortable. He is very sweet; I can discuss with him… He is a gentleman; I really had a good time with Shah Rukh sir.”

Vijay also added, “I had a good time working on Jawan with Atlee and Shah Rukh sir. He (Shah Rukh) is a gentleman, he will never show that I am in the industry for so many years and I am the superstar. Like, how I work with my co-actors, I could discuss (scenes) with him the same way. And then sometimes I would say, ‘sorry sir, if I disturb you’, he would say, ‘no Vijay, do it’. I was very comfortable with him and he is very sweet.”

The next film to include Shah Rukh Khan will be Pathaan, in which he plays the spy with the same name. Pathaan, which was directed by Siddharth Anand, also features John Abraham, Deepika Padukone, Dimple Kapadia, and Ashutosh Rana. The movie opens in theatres on January 25. He also has the Taapsee Pannu and Rajkumar Hirani film Dunki.
