Twinkle Khanna pairs clothing with books
Author Twinkle Khanna posted an Instagram Reel in which she dressed according to various Roald Dahl and Ruskin Bond books. She challenged everyone to ‘best over-the-top book influencer’ and act silly.
In a new Reel on Sunday, Twinkle Khanna challenged all Instagram users who love reading to join her in establishing a new trend of pairing apparel with books. The author displayed some vibrant books and dressed in blouses that complemented their covers. The columnist urged everyone to “ham it up a bit” and be their “best outrageous book influencer” in the brief video. Hrithik Roshan, an actor, was one of people who commented on Twinkle’s post. Others appreciated her initiative and listed books they were currently reading in response to her question.
On Instagram, Twinkle posted “New trend alert? This one is for all the #bookstagrammers (pile of books emoji) Bookworms: The word conjures up a tribe of drab, quiet people. Maybe it’s time to close the book on that cliche and to ham it up a bit. Try it. Do your best over-the-top book influencer act and tag @tweakindia Drop a (red heart emoji) or share your current read with us in the comments below. #ootd #bookstagram.”
The writer and columnist are seen in the Reel posing and dancing alongside Roald Dahl and Ruskin Bond books. She is shown sporting a pink neon shirt, a printed dark orange shirt, a bright green blouse, blue pants, and various books.
“Hahaha cute,” said Hrithik Roshan, who also liked her post. Farah Khan Ali, a jewellery designer, said, “Looking good T (love eyes emojis).” “You are a true book influencer, they twinkle with brainer desires.” one fan commented. While one made jokes, “Books are the sexiest accessories. Probably not if you’re reading – how to kill your family.” Others also discussed what they were reading at the time.
The former actor started contributing humorous life essays to a newspaper. Her debut book, Mrs. Funnybones, published in 2015 marked her shift into being an author, and it rapidly made her a best-seller and brought her numerous plaudits. In 2016 and 2018, respectively, she wrote the fiction books The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad and Pyjamas are Forgiving.
