A fortnight after Akshay announced his departure from the film, that the Khiladi could return as Raju in Hera Pheri 3 as producer Firoz Nadiadwala has restarted talks with the actor due to public demand.

While the news went viral across platforms, some on social media claimed it was fake news and mocked the author for engaging in click bait newsbreaks. Few days ago the original Hera Pheri trio of Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal met at Empire Studios in Mumbai to discuss the franchise’s future. According to our sources, Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal have begun filming for Hera Pheri 3 in Mumbai today.

“The original Hera Pheri gang reunites to continue the cult franchise. While numerous script meetings have taken place over the last few months, the team is now confident that Hera Pheri 3 will live up to all of the hype and anticipation surrounding the third installment of Hera Pheri. From the producer, Firoz Nadiadwala, to the actors – Akshay, Paresh, and Suniel – everyone is excited to return to the set as Raju, Shyam, and Baburao,” said a source close to the development.

Interestingly, the first Hera Pheri also went on floors at Empire Studios in Mumbai back in 1999 and now, 24 years later, it’s like life coming full circle. Apart from the original Hera Pheri trio, Hera Pheri 3 will have several acclaimed actors in the comic space and more details on the entire extended ensemble of India’s biggest comic franchise will be unveiled in the coming few days.
