Actor Shreyas Talpade apologized to Kriti Sanon for recently mistaking a phoney account for him on his Twitter page. On Tuesday, Kriti received compliments for her Shehzada performance from a user with the same name as Shreyas. Kriti and Kartik Aaryan star in the movie, which debuted on February 17.

The fictitious account on the microblogging website stated, “Just saw #shehzada.. @TheAaryanKartik take a bow my friend… and @kritisanon is next madhubala of this country.” Responding Kriti Sanon, who was duped, responded to the post with the following now-deleted comment: “Wow! Those shoes are too big to fit.. but thank you for such a lovely compliment.”

Fans immediately pointed out that the user was impersonating Shreyas when Kriti posted the post. After some time, Shreyas requested that Twitter check into the situation. “Dear @kritisanon, I am so sorry a tweet was sent to you via a fake account under my name. Will take it up with @verified @TwitterSupport and block the imposter immediately. That aside…sending you love and luck for Shehzada.”

“@TwitterSupport @verified request you to PLEASE look into this. This account has appeared again within 15 days timeframe even after reporting them. It’s just silly and misleads people. The account is @ShreyasTalpade,” the Golmaal actor continued.

Twitter users were perplexed to see Shreyas apologise, even though Kriti hasn’t yet responded to the remark. At least one of them suggested that Elon Musk apologise. Another individual responded, “@elonmusk should say sorry.” “Stop apologising man you are a good person and beautiful actor,” Another person said, “Y saying sorry. She was celebrity, As an actress she has to be very careful while saying the answer. This is the result of taking the rope as soon as I heard that the bull had birth. This happens to those who fall head over heels when they hear praise.”
