“Tears of Kingdom” is next Zelda game
This is the long-awaited successor to Breath of the Wild. Nintendo will...
Legend of Zelda: Tears of Kingdom will be released on May 12, 2023
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom’s latest teaser has been released, showcasing the game’s new environments and confirming the game’s release date. Zelda fans are already psyched for 2023’s release of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, but they’re going to flip when they hear about the new game’s setting: a ruined kingdom.
In addition to the most current footage, Nintendo also announced that Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom would be available on May 12, 2023. Many fans are understandably disappointed that the release date has been moved from 2022. Now that Nintendo has finally given us a release date, perhaps it won’t be pushed back.
Because there is so much potential for interpretation based on what has been shown in the trailers, we can’t say anything with certainty about the plot. The teaser trailer shows Link exploring a region similar to the floating island of Skyloft in Skyward Sword, before he disappears into the skies.
The mechanisms for climbing and gliding are on display from Breath of the Wild, as is a possible new application for the Sheikah Slate’s ability to raise a stone cube off the ground. We could see that Ganon was trapped inside, being held down by a fiery hand. When he finally broke free, the Hyrule Castle began to rise into the sky.
From what we’ve seen in the trailers, it appears that both Breath of the Wild and Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom take place in the same world. We don’t know when exactly this will take occur, but we can be confident that the world will be different now that floating islands exist.
