Kate Middleton says her husband, Prince William, helped her prepare to succeed his late mother, Princess Diana. “You’re going to be a fantastic Princess of Wales,” a royal admirer congratulated the Duchess of Cambridge on June 4, to which Middleton replied, “That’s really sweet.” Before nodding to her husband, she said, “I’m in good hands.”
The exchange, which occurred during Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee festivities, went popular on social media recently.
When the Queen, 96, dies, Middleton, 40, will inherit the title made famous by Diana.
According to the tabloid, the duchess’ title will change since William, 39, will be named Prince of Wales, a title traditionally given to the first male in line for the throne.
Williams’ father, Prince Charles, will abandon the title of Prince of Wales because he is scheduled to succeed the Queen and become King.
