For the unversed, Quidditch is a wizard sport where two teams flying on brooms battle for points by hurling a ball through hoops. It gained popularity from the “Harry Potter” phenomena.

Each goal is worth 10 points. Also an addition of 150 points are awarded to the team whose Seeker successfully catches the Golden Snitch. People who can’t fly in the actual world use broomsticks to play.

The sport’s two North American governing organisations, US Quadball and Major League Quadball, today revealed the new moniker, which will be used starting this summer.
According to sources, the International Quidditch Association also intends to use the new name.
