Criss Angel was concerned Ginuwine
During the practice for their magic feat, Criss Angel acknowledged that his “heart was in his mouth” when he noticed Ginuwine had a problem.
The illusionist told the Daily Mail in an interview that was published on Monday, “I didn’t know what the hell was going on until we caught him.
You simply can’t know. I was worried that he might have had a heart attack or stroke. Thankfully, everything came together.
Earlier this month, the “Pony” singer was practicing for The CW’s “Magic With the Stars” when his underwater trick caused him to pass out.
In a glass box, Ginuwine was seen holding his breath on camera before banging the sides to indicate his discomfort.
Ginuwine was instantly taken out of the box by Angel and the staff members of the program. The R&B singer, whose actual name is Elgin Baylor Lumpkin, passed out shortly after being freed and had to be taken to the hospital by paramedics to recover.
The magician remarked in a recent interview, “I was startled when the tape was published and how viral it became. “Honestly, it demonstrated to the world that the stunt carries a significant risk. Ginuwine survived thanks to the security measures we put in place.
Ginuwine, 52, made an appearance on the program to face his fear of underwater breath holding. In this rehearsal, the musician “struggled” and ultimately “blacked out,” according to Angel, who counseled him to concentrate on their perfected techniques.
He said that his last memory was of being in the water and his first memory was of talking to me outside of a box, Angel said. “He was unaware of what had taken place.”
The 54-year-old Angel acknowledged getting tearful when Ginuwine asked to repeat the trick for the show after he had fully healed.
