J.J. uploaded a picture of himself standing next to his wife, who was holding their adorable infant while lying in a hospital bed. “Love and happiness have reached heights we never even knew existed,” he wrote as the caption for the post on October 25.

More than four months have passed since the Arizona Cardinals defensive end and Chicago Red Stars forward—who wed in 2020—announced they were having their first child together. Koa is already here.

Having children was always in J.J.’s game plan. He disclosed his five-year goal back in 2015, which included becoming a married father.

“Five years from now, I hope to have a wife, and maybe some kids,” he told E! News, “and trying to continue to play at the highest level possible, but also being a great husband, father, and just trying to be the best person I can be.”
