Kelsey Grammer isn’t ashamed to own his shortcomings as a parent. In an interview with People that was published on Friday, the 67-year-old actor, who has a total of seven children, said, “Kids are a significant part of [my life] now.”

As he negotiates connections with his older children, Grammer acknowledged that he is now dealing with “some shortcomings.”

Faith, 9, Kelsey, 7, and Auden, 5, are children of the “Frasier” alum and his wife Kayte Walsh. Mason, 21, and Jude, 18, are children of his ex-wife Camille Grammer. Actress Greer Grammer, 30, is the ex-wife of Barrie Buckner. Spencer, 39, is the ex-husband of Doreen Alderman.

“I’m now working to fix it. He didn’t say which of his adult children it was, but he described the interaction with them as “trying to straighten them out.”

Grammer continued by recalling his older children as “wonderful people” throughout their entire lives.

They are also lovely. They were wonderful folks, as I recall from when they were little. Therefore, whatever they are going through right now won’t change that. He said, “They’re still in there. “The decent people there.”

The relationship between Grammer and his older children still needs improvement, but he claimed that fatherhood has “never been better.”

“Being with my kids every day is the finest experience in the world,” he said. Greer, Grammer’s daughter, discussed having a famous father in an interview with Nylon in 2014.

She recalled attending “Frasier” tapings when she was around 4 years old to the magazine. I was at my father’s workplace, but I was unaware that he was performing for television. It didn’t really hit me until I was in second grade.
