T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach are still taking a break from GMA3 as ABC continues to look into their relationship.

T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach two weeks after their off-camera relationship was made public, Holmes, 45, and Robach, 49, are not currently anchoring GMA3, but a source tells  that the pair hasn’t experienced any severe consequences from the network.

There are absolutely no suspensions in place, the insider claims. “At the moment, the network is only gathering data. Before deciding what to do next, they are looking into the relationship and learning the specifics.”

Additionally, the ongoing probe was mentioned in a memo to staff members that ABC News president Kim Godwin sent out on Monday.

The two will “stay off-air pending the completion of an internal assessment,” according to Godwin’s letter, with a rotation of anchors taking their place.

The co-anchors’ romance was being “continually covered,” she said, adding that this “may be distracting from the tremendously important work our team does here at ABC News.”

She continued, “It is my goal that we will continue to concentrate our efforts on what we do best. “And I want all of you to know how incredibly proud I am of your professionalism and hard work,” she continued.

Robach and Holmes were “temporarily” taken off the air by the network on December 5, even though they had initially returned to work to present GMA3 after relationship rumours began to circulate on November 30.

That morning, Godwin informed the team of the network’s decision. Kim Godwin “indicated she wanted to handle the internal and external distraction between two coworkers on the normal 9 a.m. editing call,” a source told.

The source stated, “This wasn’t an exceptional call; it happened every day, and she used that time to address the matter to the workers. “T.J. and Amy will be taken off the air while they sort things out, she said, adding that even though this isn’t a breach of policy, she took some time to consider it and wanted to determine what was best. Today’s GMA3 will be hosted by Gio Benitez and Stephanie Ramos, however the hosts may change during the week.”

The co-anchors of GMA3 prompted dating suspicions after images of them cuddling at a bar in New York City, holding hands in a car, and on vacation in upstate New York appeared. As people enquired about the status of their respective marriages, the photographs rapidly sparked an online craze. (Whereas Holmes is wed to lawyer Marilee Fiebig, Robach is wed to actor Andrew Shue. Both unions took place in 2010.)

According to a different source, “T.J. was really supportive and there for Amy while she was going through a heartache, and that is when they started something.”

Holmes and Robach “have no shame going out together and had been publicly doing this for far longer than a month,” the second insider added.

Both Robach and Holmes promptly deleted their Instagram accounts once the news of their relationship leaked, and neither has made an official statement about the controversy.
