Doctor Who is returning for its much anticipated 60th-anniversary special. As Jodie Whittaker’s tenure on the show came to a close, David Tennant, who had previously played the tenth Doctor, returned as the fourteenth Doctor for the special. As a result, there are many facets of the series to explore. First, we want to know how Tennant is returning as the Doctor and how that will prepare us for the arrival of the fifteenth Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa). All of this is also preparing the show for a fairly cool journey as Russell T. Davies, the previous showrunner is also returning.

Sadly, nothing is known about the eagerly awaited special, but we do know one wonderful thing: a new trailer will be released on Christmas day. The future of Doctor Who is very exciting, and while Whittaker had a fantastic run, it will be interesting to see how the show develops after Tennant returns and before Gatwa takes over. Hopefully, the trailer that will be released on Christmas Day will show us what the 60th Anniversary special and beyond have in store for fans.
