Despite claiming to have “followed proper approval procedures,” business representatives told  that they ultimately chose to cancel the line “out of respect” for the “Stay” singer.

After the company placed his images on graphic sweatshirts and tote bags, Bieber Monday advised his 270 million social media fans not to purchase the “crap” goods. A phone case featuring lyrics from his song “Ghost” was purportedly also sold by them.

On Instagram, Bieber said, “I didn’t approve [sic] any of the merchandise selection that they put up at H&M. All without my permission and consent.” “SMH, IF I WERE YOU, I WOULDN’T BUY IT.”

“The H&M MERCH THEY MADE OF ME IS TRASH AND I DIDN’T APPROVE IT DONT BUY IT,” the Grammy winner continued.

Later, in the comments section of a fan page that featured images of all the H&M items, Bieber reiterated his accusations, saying, “When everyone finds out I didn’t approve any of this merch smh.”

Although the 28-year-old has not yet commented on the fashion retailer’s decision to remove the outfits, this is not the first time H&M has used some of his songs as inspiration.

The business first issued a collection in 2020, “Changes,” the singer’s fifth studio album.

In fact, one of the sweatshirts had the album’s cover art, while another had a cartoon image of the “Baby” crooner next to the name of the song.
