Stephen “tWitch” Boss’ mother is speaking out for the first time after her son’s sudden passing, Connie Boss Alexander thanked both friends and total strangers in an Instagram Story she shared on December 15 for their assistance during a trying period.

“Family and friends, thank you for all the love, prayers, and encouragement,” she wrote. “Please know I see all the messages, texts, posts, and phone calls. I can’t use words right now. Please know I will reach out when I can.”

Before addressing her son, Connie pleaded with everyone to “please keep us in prayer.” She stated, “Your mother loves you to eternity and beyond, Stephen Laurel.”

One day after Stephen’s wife of nine years, Allison Holker, announced her husband’s passing, Connie sent him a message.

“It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to share that my husband Stephen has left us,” she said in a statement to E! News Dec. 14. “Stephen lit up every room he stepped into. He valued family, friends, and community above all else, and leading with love and light was everything to him.”

“To say he left a legacy would be an understatement, and his positive impact will continue to be felt,” the So You Think You Can Dance star continued. “I am certain there won’t be a day that goes by that we won’t honor his memory. We ask for privacy during this difficult time for myself and especially for our three children.”

According to the coroner’s office for Los Angeles County, Stephen committed suicide. He was in his forties.

Hollywood’s top names have been paying tribute to Stephen all week long, including his So You Think You Can Dance family and friends Justin Timberlake and Channing Tatum. The “heartbroken” talk-show host recently paid tribute on social media to his longtime colleague Ellen DeGeneres.

“tWitch was pure love and light,” she wrote on Instagram on Dec. 14. “He was my family, and I loved him with all my heart. I will miss him. Please send your love and support to Allison and his beautiful children.”

Connie’s Instagram is flooded with tributes to Stephen, the father of Weslie (14), Maddox (six), and Zaia (3).

She had lauded her son’s parenting abilities back in June. The commitment, love, and direction you exhibit @weslierboss @maddoxlboss @zaiaboss throughout the day, every day, fill my heart with such a sense of pride and delight! On Instagram, Connie posted. To you today and every day to come, blessings and love!
